Week 29 (July 16 – 22)

52 Weeks :: Week 29 (July 16 - 22)

29.1: Z-I-N-G-O
The girls like to play a picture Bingo-like game, so Lucia, Mallory and Chelsea play often. And even though the game is for ages 4-8, Chelsea, the two year old, does a pretty good job playing it (her short attention span gets in the way sometimes).

52 Weeks :: Week 29 (July 16 - 22)

29.1: ‘Round and ‘Round
While at the mall, the older girls rode the little carousel and loved every minute of it. (Doncha love CP’s teeny tiny ponytails?)

52 Weeks :: Week 29 (July 16 - 22)

29.1: Pretty in Pink
We signed Mallory up to play soccer this fall. Today we went to get her soccer gear. Since her favorite color is now pink, we made sure to get the pink version of everything: socks, size 3 soccer ball, shorts, cleats and even shin guards. Who knew they made pink cleats and shin guards?!

29.2: Tag-a-long
Tessa went with Lucia to the DMQG all-day Saturday Sew event and she was such a good girl. She napped, played, ate, made friends with O (the other baby in attendance), and in general was the best little girl. She couldn’t have been any better which meant Lucia got a bit of sewing done.

29.7: Ponies on Parade
We brought out a box of hand-me-down ponies that the girls inherited from their cousin M. The box included some real My Little Ponies, some faux ponies and a couple of playsets with MLP furniture and accessories. The girls absolutely love these ponies (and all of the little bits with them) and have asked to play with them multiple times a day ever since the box was brought out (and that’s all without telling them Lucia’s connection to My Little Pony; we’ll share that with them later).

Trudy's Arse Kicking Quilt [a call for help]

29.7: A Call for Help
A high school friend of Jonathan’s was just recently diagnosed with stage 4 colo-rectal cancer. Lucia felt called to help Errick and his family in some way. After reading a post on Errick’s blog, Lucia decided to make him a quilt. She realized that she needed help making the quilt, so she put out a ‘call for help’ to the online quilting community to make grey and blue cross blocks for Errick’s quilt.

You can read the ‘call for help’ here.
