52 Weeks :: Week 23

52 Weeks :: Week 23

23.3: Train Time
Playtime today involved setting up a mini-city with trains, tracks, cars, roads, trees, people, signs and lights. And Chelsea managed playing just fine with her cast.

52 Weeks :: Week 23

23.3: Already?
It is not summer yet, technically, but you wouldn’t know it by looking at the thermostat. It hit 101°F today. The one thing that makes triple digit temps somewhat tolerable is the low humidity — 16%. And we just don’t go outside when it gets too hot.

23.3: Out
Chelsea skipped her nap today and was too tired to stay awake for dinner. She crashed before 6 and slept until morning.

23.3: Gamer
Mallory has discovered Nick Jr.’s online games on Daddy’s computer. She can already make her way around the site using the mouse. For some reason, Mommy’s computer does not have those same games.

23.4: Tessa at 15 weeks

  • She can self-soothe now because she discovered her thumb this week. It usually takes both hands to keep her thumb in her mouth. And she sure looks cute sucking her thumb. She never really took a pacifier, so it was kind of surprising that she is turning into a thumb sucker (neither M or C really took a pacifier and never sucked their thumbs). We don’t mind though because it makes her happy.
  • She is finally putting pressure on her feet/legs when you try to stand her up on your lap. She will support her body weight for a minute or so before tiring out.
  • She is a wiggler and we now have to buckle her up in her swing. And we can’t leave her laying on the bed, so she’s spending more time in the bassinet during idle times.

23.5: Hopscotch
Lucia started on her next quilt, designed to look like a hopscotch game.
