15.4: Tessa at 7 Weeks

  • Her skin is back to being baby soft. YAY!!
  • We are getting more smiles out of her. And little coos too if you are lucky and talk sweetly to her.
  • She still kinda sometimes maybe takes a pacifier but hasn’t mastered that yet (or isn’t very fond of it)
  • She can be very wiggly, especially in the getting-ready-to-go-to-sleep state

15.4: A Good Big Sister
Mallory loves her new little sister so much. She talks so sweetly to Tessa and is very attentive to her. Lucia took this shot of her while Mal was trying to make Tessa happy for her weekly picture.

15.5-15.6: Family Ties
Lucia’s Aunt Lu, Uncle Wes and cousins Bryan and Dana stopped through and stayed two nights with us (bad timing meant that Jonathan was out of town for the week while they were there). Bryan and Uncle Wes are great at fixing things around the house, and this visit was no exception. They installed a new doorbell (ours had been wonky since November), added light kits to the two fans upstairs, and attempted to fix our big TV (it stopped working last Thursday; we got a new lamp for it, but that didn’t fix it. Argh.). Aunt Lu and Dana got to spend some quality time with the little girls while the rest ran errands to get the things for the house. Since the weather was really nice while they were here so we also grilled out and ate dinner outside. We’re so glad they were able to come and visit us.

15.7: Release Day
Mallory’s preschool released the butterflies and ladybugs that they had been taking care of in their classrooms. The caterpillars lived in the kids’ classroom for several weeks and the kids got to watch them go through the stages of turning into a butterfly. Lucia brought Chelsea for the release so she got to experience it too.

15.7: Next Project
Lucia got started on her next quilt project, a doll quilt. She got the fabric cut so that it is ready to piece together at the next Weekend Sew event with the Dallas Modern Quilt Guild.
