Poor Mallory isn’t feeling so well. We think she has bronchiolitis. She’s had a cold for the last couple of days. Last night it got worse and she started coughing, her breathing is now shallow and fast with wheezing, she has a mild fever and she’s irritable and lethargic. Today she’s hardly had anything to eat and we are practically having to force her to drink juice/gatorade/anything. Poor girl. I’ll call her pediatrician in the morning just to make sure there isn’t more I can do for her, but I’m guessing that it will just have to run its course. Mallory will be sad to miss school this week.
Bronchiolitis is most likely caused by respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). Hopefully I can keep Chelsea from getting sick since she already spent 5 days in the hospital with RSV when she was 2 weeks old. I wonder if your body builds up any kind of immunity to it? So, wish me luck this week, espcially because Jonathan will be out of town!
